Key Responsibilities:- Inspect vehicles using inspection forms and report potential repairs to supervisors/service writers
- Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications, including brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, and air conditioning
- Adequately explain technical diagnoses, needed services, and repairs to employees and customers in a courteous and friendly manner
- Troubleshoot equipment issues to determine the most cost-effective approach to fix, repair, or resolve
- Consult with other mechanics as needed to discuss problems or questions with any particular process or procedure
- Operate equipment after completing repairs to ensure satisfactory completion/resolution of problem(s)
- Maintain current knowledge and skills needed to diagnose, fix, or repair equipment
- Maintain a neat and professional personal appearance
- Maintain an orderly work area, including wiping up spills, neatly storing tools and parts, properly discarding old or unused parts and materials, sweeping the area, and emptying trash receptacles as needed
- Follow established company policies and guidelines for safety, quality, and customer service; wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required or needed
- Assist with taking inventory as needed
- Maintain hand and power tools in good repair
- Perform other duties as assigned

- PPE: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Glasses, gloves, footwear)
High school graduate or general education degree (GED)
Experience:2-4 years' experience in automotive repair preferred
Certifications/Licenses:Valid driver's license; driving record must meet company's insurance requirements
TIA 200 level certification (company can provide)
Michigan Mechanic's License (for Michigan locations)
Ongoing training is required per company's standards
Equipment:Knowledge of diagnostic and repair equipment
