Our Mission:
We adopt a comprehensive approach to addiction treatment, ensuring a continuum of care that begins with the initial request for assistance and extends to ongoing peer support. Our state-of-the-art facilities and peer support centers across the region are designed to eliminate barriers and enhance access to care through our integrative and evidence-based clinical practices.
Position Title: Medical Care Provider – Residential Withdrawal Management
Role Summary: This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality medical services within the residential withdrawal management setting, ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations, as well as CARF standards. You will provide general medical care and oversee nursing and support staff in the treatment of clients undergoing withdrawal from various substances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough medical evaluations of clients referred by their psychiatric providers.
- Diagnose and manage acute, episodic, or chronic health conditions.
- Prescribe necessary medications, treatments, and laboratory tests.
- Monitor client health progress and communicate updates effectively to the interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Assess treatment outcomes and adjust care plans as needed.
- Provide supervision and guidance to nursing and ancillary staff.
- Stay informed about current best practices in primary care and internal medicine.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid and current state physician assistant license.
- At least 1 year of experience in primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, or a general medical hospital setting.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and relevant clinical practice standards.
- Completion of a minimum of 24 hours of Buprenorphine Training through ASAM or Providers Clinical Support System (PCSS).
- Valid driver's license and insurance.
- Successful completion of background checks and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in addiction treatment is preferred.
