About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Sustainability Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will work directly with organizations to develop and implement effective sustainability programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan project scopes, task schedules, and budgets.
  • Assess situations, identify issues, collaborate across organizations to define solutions, make timely decisions, and communicate these decisions clearly and concisely.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, vendors, and third-party organizations.
  • Utilize public speaking and presentation skills to deliver program plans and updates to varying groups of individuals.
  • Facilitate client meetings (virtually and in-person).
  • Translate qualitative and quantitative data into digestible stories to promote opportunities and quantify program success.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively as needed to solve problems and achieve results.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in the sustainability sector or related fields (e.g., waste and project management).
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Sustainability or Sustainability Management, Environmental Science/Health, Public Policy, Project Management, or related field.
  • Knowledgeable about local, regional, and national environmental issues related to waste reduction.
  • Creative problem-solving and analytical skills along with effective and forward-thinking organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration and customer service skills.
  • Ability to think strategically, energize others, and lead efforts to effect positive change.
  • Willingness to travel out of state and to work off hours and weekends on occasion.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds and walk up to six (6) miles per day.
  • Abides by a Green lifestyle.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
