Nurse Practitioner

Requirements:

Qualified Nurse Practitioner with a valid license in the state of Virginia.

Certification from a recognized national certifying organization as a Nurse Practitioner is essential.

Preferred Experience in Nephrology

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough evaluations of patients with renal disorders, including comprehensive history taking, physical assessments, and analysis of diagnostic results.
  • Design and execute personalized care strategies in partnership with nephrologists and the healthcare team.
  • Oversee and treat patients with chronic kidney disease, end-stage renal disease, and those receiving dialysis therapy.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding kidney health, treatment pathways, and necessary lifestyle changes.
  • Conduct and assist in medical procedures such as catheter placements and renal biopsies.
  • Facilitate care coordination with other healthcare professionals, including dietitians, social workers, and primary care providers.
