We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Supervisor, RN who will oversee, schedule, and coordinate daily nursing operations within the facility during their assigned shifts. This role is crucial in ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality nursing care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The Nursing Supervisor will provide leadership to the nursing staff, acting as a resource, mentor, and change agent within their department. This position positively impacts patient care quality and ensures adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as established nursing protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Nursing Services in managing daily nursing operations in line with current regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Director in planning nursing services for resident discharge as needed.
- Conduct meetings with nursing and support staff to strategize departmental services, programs, and activities, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Ensure adequate staffing of licensed practical and registered nurses during assigned shifts to maintain quality care.
- Guarantee sufficient certified nursing assistants are available to meet the daily care needs of residents.
- Perform daily rounds to monitor nursing staff compliance with established standards of care.
- Communicate with nursing personnel regarding new admissions, their expected arrival times, and room assignments.
- Review nursing documentation to ensure it accurately reflects the care provided and the resident's responses.
- Provide direct nursing care as necessary.
- Engage in the development of preliminary and comprehensive nursing assessments for residents.
- Contribute to the creation of individualized care plans that identify resident needs and goals.
- Encourage resident involvement in the development and review of their care plans.
- Review care plans for appropriateness and necessary revisions based on resident needs.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
