Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and bilingual instructional assistant to support elementary school teachers in creating a dynamic learning environment for students with diverse linguistic backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to students in both English and Spanish
  • Assist in the implementation of instructional activities and lesson plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create a culturally inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Facilitate small group activities to reinforce language acquisition.
  • Support classroom management and behavior reinforcement.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, especially those with limited English proficiency.
  • Translate documents and communication materials as needed.
  • Foster a positive and supportive environment for students of all abilities.
Requirements
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish
  • Proof of one of the following:
  • 60 completed college credit hours, official or unofficial transcripts are accepted
  • Minimum score of 460 or greater on ParaPro PRAXIS score

If candidate has neither the qualification, nor the proof, they can take the ParaPro PRAXIS exam for a fee.
