Emerson Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Operating Room Support Specialist to join our multidisciplinary perioperative team. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the department, as well as assisting with patient positioning, equipment maintenance, and supply management.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with patient positioning and movement during surgical procedures
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the operating room and surrounding areas
- Restock supplies and equipment as needed
- Transport patients and specimens as required
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and other team members
- Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience
- Previous operating room experience preferred
- Licensure and/or Certification
- Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required or become registered within 9 months of hire
- BLS healthcare provider certification required or attained within 9 months of hire
