Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Specialist to join our team at Blue Diamond Growers. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment by performing various sanitation and janitorial tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain warehouses and docks by removing debris and scrubbing floors.
  • Disinfect commonly used items and equipment.
  • Work in tandem with operators to clean floors and drains.
  • Conduct work in confined areas, such as elevator pits.
  • Wash and sanitize forklifts, sweepers, and scrubbers.
  • Mop and wipe all hallways and designated break/locker rooms.
  • Empty and decontaminate trash containers.
  • Wash and dry parts for overhauls, projects, and department cleanliness.
  • Clean all ladders, platforms, and stairs.
  • Report any potholes, cracks, broken windows, or gaps around doors.
  • Sweep debris and mop/vacuum any standing water.
  • Maintain exterior cleaning of parking lot trash, outside break areas, rooftops, bridges, and exterior areas.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience engaging in janitorial, manufacturing, or general labor functions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience engaging in janitorial/sanitation functions in a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment

The work environment is typically cold, hot, humid, and extremely wet. You will be required to work in confined areas and may be required to work an 8-hour shift and some overtime as needed.
