Bakery/Cake Decorator

We are seeking a skilled Bakery/Cake Decorator to join our team at Pick 'N Save. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing cakes, pastries, and other baked goods that exceed our customers' expectations.

• Create an exceptional customer experience by providing outstanding service and ensuring a safe and clean environment.
• Assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals, while maintaining quality assurance standards.
• Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
• Decorate cakes, pastries, cupcakes, cookies, and other bakery items to meet customer requests.
• Label, stock, sign, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
• Maintain awareness of inventory/stocking conditions and note any discrepancies.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal health and civil code regulations.
• Ensure all current merchandising, customer service, labor control, expense, and supply controls, loss prevention, maintenance, safety, food safety, associate, and customer engagement rules are being followed.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions and notifying store management.
• Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notifying the appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
• Report all safety risks, issues, and illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud, and notify management of customer or employee accidents.

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math.
• Effective communication skills.
• Desired: Second language speaking, reading, and/or writing.
