We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Sr Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing various pressure vessel types, fluid lines, and flex elements for cryogenic and space applications. You will also be involved in drawing generation, tolerance setup, and ownership of design release cycles.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in predicting and validating low and high-frequency structural dynamics and loads, as well as finite element modeling. A solid foundation in structural static/dynamic fundamentals is essential. You will also be required to analyze primary and secondary spacecraft pressure vessels, integrate structural analysis with loads and dynamics environments, and develop Finite Element Models.

This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. If you have a passion for spacecraft structural/environmental loads development/validation, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Design of various pressure vessel types, shapes to accommodate vehicle space allocation and integration envelope.
  • Design of fluid lines and flex elements for cryogenic and space applications.
  • Drawing generation, including tolerance and GD&T setup.
  • Ownership of design release cycle, including drawings release, and DFM reviews.
  • Analysis of primary and secondary spacecraft pressure vessels.
  • Integration of structural analysis with loads and dynamics environments.
  • Finite Element Model development, refinement, validation, and correlation to tests.

Requirements
  • B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in prediction/validation of low and/or high-frequency structural dynamics and loads, in addition to finite element modeling.
  • Solid foundation of structural static/dynamic fundamentals.
  • Passion for spacecraft structural/environmental loads development/validation.
  • Ability to solve a variety of static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based analytical methods.
