The Executive Housekeeper is a key member of the hotel operations team, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and direct a team of housekeeping and laundry associates to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities- Housekeeping Operations: Oversee the daily housekeeping operations, including assigning tasks, inspecting rooms, and ensuring that all areas of the hotel are clean and well-maintained.
- Team Management: Directly supervise a team of housekeeping and laundry associates, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure they meet the highest standards of performance.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all rooms and public areas meet the hotel's quality standards.
- Guest Satisfaction: Respond to guest complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that all issues are resolved promptly and to the guest's satisfaction.
- Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of housekeeping supplies, including linens, cleaning chemicals, and equipment.
- Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of the housekeeping budget, ensuring that all expenses are within budget and that the department is operating efficiently.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in hospitality or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in housekeeping or a related field, with a proven track record of leadership and team management.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of associates. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
The Executive Housekeeper will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, with frequent exposure to chemicals and cleaning products. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods is required.
