Job Title: Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Bryn Mawr Medical Specialists Association. This is a part-time position, working 2 days per week, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care in our Cardiology II office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist licensed physicians in examining, diagnosing, and treating patients, including prescribing medications, preparing casts or splints, suturing small wounds, and interpreting medical tests.
  • Work closely with doctors in their day-to-day practice, including specialty practices, and bridge the gap between nurse and doctor.
  • Follow medical procedures, policies, and legal guidelines in treating a wide variety of patients, under the direct supervision of a licensed physician.
  • Use modern electronic health record systems to record and track all dispensed treatments to patients, while staying compliant with laws and regulations.
  • Order and interpret test results and recommend treatment of patients.
  • Prescribe therapy or medication with physician approval.
  • Administer therapeutic procedures.
  • Conduct complete physicals, provide treatment, and counsel patients.
  • Provide care to patients.
  • Obtain patient history, conduct patient assessments, order tests or scans, diagnose illnesses, prescribe medicines, and outline and monitor courses of treatment.
  • Educate patients on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders or diseases.
  • Partner with physicians in the development of care plans and advise physicians in changes of patient status.
  • Assist patients in the management of chronic illnesses and promote health and wellness. Monitor and ensure accuracy of patient medical records.
Requirements:
  • Must perform work with a high degree of latitude.
  • Must possess expert knowledge of subject matter.
  • Requires a master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program, licensure/certification as a Physician Assistant, and 2 or more years of related experience.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Oral and written communication skills. Problem-solving skills.
  • Attentiveness.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Cardiology experience.
