With AEG, we're seeking an experienced and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Event Ambassador. This is a part-time opportunity that requires flexibility, including weekends, holidays, and evenings. As an Ambassador, you'll be responsible for assisting patrons with their customer service needs while attending public or private events at the UPMC Events Center.
As an Event Ambassador, you'll be the face of our organization, providing exceptional service to our guests. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting patrons with seating, maintaining a visible presence on your assigned post, and overseeing your section for any spills or situations requiring staff attention. You'll also be responsible for directing patrons with disabilities to wheelchair seating areas, receiving and addressing complaints in accordance with established policies and procedures, and providing information about the venue, including the location of restrooms, concessions stands, and ticket offices.
We're looking for individuals who are able to stand for long periods of time, climb stairs in restricted lighting, and move quickly and safely around the venue. A neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively with guests. You'll also be responsible for operating radio devices and staying calm under pressure. Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred, but not required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patrons with seating and respond to their inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
- Maintain a visible presence on your assigned post, ensuring that your section is clean and well-maintained.
- Oversee your section for any spills or situations requiring staff attention, responding promptly to any issues that arise.
- Direct patrons with disabilities to wheelchair seating areas, providing assistance and support as needed.
- Receive and address complaints from patrons, following established policies and procedures.
- Provide information about the venue, including the location of restrooms, concessions stands, and ticket offices.
- Monitor aisles and steps in your assigned section, ensuring that they are clear and compliant with fire codes.
