Pediatric Hospitalist Physician

We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Hospitalist to join our team at Ascension Illinois. As a Pediatric Hospitalist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
You will work closely with our experienced and well-respected Pediatric Hospitalist Team to provide high-quality care to our patients. Our team is dedicated to delivering compassionate, personalized care to all, and we are looking for a like-minded individual to join us.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
- Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
- Accept patient referrals from other physicians.
- Act as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses.
- Participate in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.
- Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
- Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

Requirements- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
