Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Banquet Set Up Attendant to join our team at Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort and Spa. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of banquets and events, from setup to teardown.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Preparation: Prepare function spaces for catered and convention functions, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are in place.
  • Setup and Teardown: Set up and tear down function spaces, including tables, chairs, linens, and other equipment, to ensure a seamless event experience.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain and organize all banquet function, service, and storage areas, ensuring a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Guest Services: Provide exceptional guest service, responding to guest requests and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with event coordinators, chefs, and other staff members to ensure a smooth event execution.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English; basic math skills; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; and strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting.
