We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our cardiothoracic surgical team, you will provide expert care to patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery, while also serving as a resource and educator for nursing staff.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement patient care programs, utilizing advanced knowledge and clinical expertise in the assessment and management of cardiothoracic surgical patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care, and participate in evaluating and improving the quality of care.
- Develop and utilize strategic nursing interventions in response to complex health care problems, and provide expertise in specialty areas to other healthcare professionals and agencies.
- Participate in inter-disciplinary research, and initiate nursing research projects to advance the field of cardiothoracic nursing practice.
- Master's Degree in clinical nursing practice, or Master's Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program with National Board Certification in specialty area.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State, and current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State.
- CNS certification in applicable specialty practice areas, or National Board Certification in specialty area.

The salary range for this position is $94,000-$150,000/year. When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
