The Production Associate is responsible for preparing products and packaging to meet customer specifications in compliance with company policy related to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Safety.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a clean and organized work area, equipment, and personal sanitation to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Prepare, weigh, carry, load, and space products to meet customer specifications.
- Open and rework product as needed to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Gather, review, and apply labels, stickers, and backer boards to products.
- Review order specifications and assemble boxes to meet customer requirements.
- Inspect machine E-stops to ensure functionality before production starts.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure products are packaged according to customer specifications on production sheets.
- Communicate directly with line personnel on order specifications and quality issues.
- Palletize products and enter data on production reports.
- Communicate with line personnel on safety issues and promote a safe work environment.
- Utilize downtime productively to meet production goals.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Produce products that exceed customer quality and value expectations by adhering to GMPs and company policies.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment.
- Ability to make minor decisions based on standard practices.
- Ability to read and prepare production reports and comprehend production worksheets.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to promote and model teamwork.
- Basic computer skills.
The Production Associate will work in a fast-paced production environment with average temperatures between 50-60 degrees F. The ability to constantly stand, walk, bend, flex, and extend the neck is required. Frequent handling of materials from floor-to-waist, waist-to-shoulder, and pushing, pulling, and carrying are also required. Hair nets, earplugs/muffs, hardhats, and/or safety glasses may be required. Product weight may reach up to 35 lbs.
