Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Alps Pharmacy. As an Order Entry Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of medications for our patients.

• Assist the Pharmacist in accurately performing order entry, order fulfillment, and delivery preparation of medications
• Communicate with nursing staff, physician's offices, and other team members to provide outstanding service
• Communicate with third-party payers to resolve rejected claims
• Receive and process daily inventory from wholesalers, identifying soon-to-expire and outdated inventory for return
• Assist with full quarterly inventory and other duties as assigned

• Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the state of Missouri, Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred
• 2+ years of pharmacy experience, preferably in long-term care pharmacy, retail, mail order, and/or hospital
• Excellent customer service attitude and professional demeanor with strong communication skills
• Positive attitude and self-motivated
• Excellent computer skills, including pharmacy operations system (FrameworkLTC experience preferred), and moderate-to-strong comprehension of Microsoft Word/Excel
• Ability to problem solve and prioritize workflow to meet deadlines when necessary
• Flexible schedule required

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear. The employee is required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision requirements for this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
