About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Respiratory Care Specialist to become a vital part of our healthcare team at Sigma Health Rehab. This role is essential for providing high-quality respiratory care within our rehabilitation center, focusing on improving the health and well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments and implement respiratory care techniques to support patients with various respiratory and non-respiratory conditions.
  • Initiate and manage therapy sessions, ensuring accurate maintenance of patient records and proper operation of respiratory equipment.
  • Administer a range of bedside treatments tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Provide quarterly in-service training for nursing staff to enhance their understanding of respiratory care.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and care strategies.
  • Demonstrate expertise in tracheotomy care and long-term care settings.
  • Adhere to facility protocols and procedures while managing caseloads effectively.
  • Engage in tracking and auditing processes to ensure compliance with departmental standards.
  • Perform various skilled interventions, including but not limited to oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and airway management techniques.

Qualifications:
  • Graduation from a COARC accredited Associate or Bachelor’s degree program in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
  • Valid BLS certification and licensure in the state of practice.

Job Type: Part-time
Compensation: $35.00 per hour
Work Schedule: 4-hour shifts, Monday to Friday

Work Environment:
In-person at our rehabilitation center. We are committed to fostering a supportive and enriching environment for both our staff and residents.
