About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our team at VCU Medical Center. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate individual to work with our experienced medical staff.
Job Summary:
The Radiology Imaging Specialist will be responsible for performing various imaging procedures using advanced medical equipment, including CT scanners. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in radiologic sciences and excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and medical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality imaging procedures using CT scanners and other medical equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, exam results, and any relevant observations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with advancements in radiologic sciences and technology.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Degree in Radiologic Sciences or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in radiologic imaging, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in record-keeping.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 1 Trauma experience.
- Previous experience with Siemens imaging equipment.
Working Conditions:
This position requires working varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as well as occasional on-call duties. Candidates must be flexible and able to adapt to changing schedules.
Salary Information:
The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
