Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to implement treatment plans and provide hands-on care to residents. This includes assisting with assessments, implementing interventions, and documenting resident progress.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with assessments and gather data for Section GG collection during Annual, Quarterly, Falls, and Significant Change assessments.
  • Implement intervention plans, including ADL training, based on the guidance of the Occupational Therapist.
  • Monitor resident progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident progress and interventions provided.
  • Educate residents, family members, and care staff on safe mobility techniques and exercises for continued progress.
  • Collaborate with other rehab staff, including Physical Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to provide comprehensive care.

Qualifications:

  • State licensure as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
  • EMR and MS office applications.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
