We are seeking a skilled Traveling Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at Virginia Hospital Center. As a Travel Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to obstetric patients, including those with high-risk pregnancies and those requiring surgical interventions.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Participate in emergency situations, such as code blues and obstetric emergencies.
- Document patient information and care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
- Active VA or Compact License in hand at submission.
- ACLS certification.
- NRP certification.
- Circulating skillset.
- At least 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery or a related field.
- AWHWON Intermediate certification preferred, but not required.
- 7p nights; 3x12s.
- Every other weekend.
- Call is 2 shifts per 6-week schedule.
- Self-scheduling type.
- EPIC Class: Stork/OB.
- Average daily census: 15.
- Rooms/beds: 16.
- Ratio: 1:2.
- Medication management system: Omnicell.
- Documentation system: EPIC and OBTV.
- Communication method: SBAR.
- The Flu vaccine is required during flu season (October 1st - March 31st).
- If requesting a religious or medical Flu exemption, compliance with CMS guidelines is required and must be reviewed/approved by Qualivis with supporting documentation.
