About the Role:

As a Radiology Technologist Assistant at MetroHealth, you will play a vital role in supporting the diagnostic imaging team. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Technologist, you will assist in the imaging of patients, including infant through geriatric populations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and positioning of patients for imaging procedures
  • Transport patients and equipment as needed
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and efficient imaging environment
  • Collaborate with the imaging team to ensure smooth operations and high-quality patient care

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • BLS Certification from the AHA within the standard probationary period
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Presents a professional appearance and demonstrates basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework in Medical Terminology and Anatomy
  • Healthcare or customer service experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day
  • May need to lift, pull, or push over 50 lbs
  • May need to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Normal visual range with or without correction
  • Normal audio range with or without correction
