Position Overview:

Mead & Hunt, Inc., a well-respected professional services consulting firm, is seeking a motivated junior civil engineer to become part of our aviation division.

Key Responsibilities:

The role involves:

  • Creating detailed plans and specifications for various airport design initiatives.
  • Conducting analysis and preparing engineering documentation and construction cost assessments.
  • Utilizing AutoCAD and Civil3D for drafting tasks to produce plan sheets.
  • Supporting construction administration by working on-site at project locations as necessary.
  • Interpreting FAA Advisory Circulars, geotechnical assessments, and survey data for effective project design.

A valid driver's license and occasional travel will be necessary.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited institution, or the ability to obtain it by the start date.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil3D software.
  • Knowledge in civil/transportation design coursework.
  • Hands-on experience in construction field activities, including site grading, utilities, drainage, erosion control, paving, materials testing, and/or surveying.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project software.
