Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce laws and regulations to maintain public safety and order
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance as needed
  • Investigate crimes and gather evidence
  • Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect crime
  • Make arrests and take individuals into custody as necessary
  • Provide support and assistance to the community
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of work, college coursework, or military experience required
  • Valid Oregon driver's license required
  • CPR certification required
  • Pass a police background investigation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
  • Experience working in law enforcement or a related field
  • Knowledge of Oregon laws and regulations
