Job Overview

A Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse is needed to support operations at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System. This role requires a highly skilled nurse who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

This position involves working as part of a high-performing team to deliver exceptional patient care. Key responsibilities include monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures, administering medications, and preparing patients and surgical fields in a sterile manner. The successful candidate will also provide venous access via IV lines, assist with catheter exchanges, injections, and balloon dilation, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to influence positive care outcomes.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must hold a current Registered Nurse licensure in at least one state or territory of the United States. A minimum of three years of recent experience working in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting is required, along with certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). You must also be physically capable of performing the demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing/pulling with 30 pounds of force.

Compensation

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $97.34-$112.22 per hour, depending on experience.
