About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Lead to join our team. As a key member of our health, safety, and environmental (HSE) team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of our plant and compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective safety strategies and initiatives to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with regional and national HSE teams to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
- Provide training and development opportunities to plant personnel to ensure they meet corporate HSE guidelines.
- Lead the safety committee and review all pending safety or environmental concerns, risks, and develop mitigation plans accordingly.
- Develop and lead group projects targeting safety systems and manufacturing improvements.
- Work with Regional HSE Manager and US HSE Compliance Manager to address plant risks.
- Perform orientation safety training and walkthroughs for all new hires.
- Be the key person to drive continuous improvement at the plant and strengthen internal policies, procedures, and systems around safety.
Requirements
- No degree required.
- 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and policies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
