Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and execute comprehensive test strategies to ensure the product and its features meet all functional and quality standards.
- Contribute to automation testing efforts and support the implementation of test methods and procedures to verify the functionality and performance of our client application.
- Develop detailed test cases, including meaningful test steps, acceptance criteria, and expected results, based on functional requirements and UI/UX comps.
- Execute testing efforts to ensure the application meets high standards of performance, reliability, and usability.
- Develop and maintain the automation testing suite, collaborating with other Automation Engineers to maximize the reusability of automation scripts across projects.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers to identify and resolve issues early in the development cycle.
- Participate in ad hoc and exploratory testing beyond pre-existing test cases and user stories.
- Utilize risk-based testing approaches to prioritize testing efforts.
- Analyze and report test results, providing clear insights and actionable recommendations to the development team.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in frontend web application testing, implementing new techniques to enhance testing efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in a Business, Technical field, or a related discipline; minimum of five years of software/quality assurance testing experience.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Cypress or other frontend test automation tools for regression testing and data validation of web applications.
- Extensive experience in TV, set-top-box, or console device testing.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Experience with the Atlassian suite, including JIRA, Confluence, and Zephyr (preferred).
- Media and entertainment industry experience (preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with streaming applications or media content delivery platforms (preferred).
- Knowledge of network protocols, video codecs, and DRM technologies (a plus).
