As a part-time teaching faculty member, you will be responsible for delivering undergraduate-level courses in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on power engineering topics. Examples of courses available to teach include Circuit Theory I & II, Linear Systems with Differential Equations, Engineering Statistics, and Engineering Technical Communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach 10 hours per week; M/W or T/Th, days or evenings.
  • Availability to meet with students when needed.
  • Use of course texts, outlines, and other curriculum materials in accordance with college and department policies.
  • Respond to chair and administrative requests in a timely manner and complete all responsibilities effectively.
  • Evaluate student achievement and provide timely feedback while maintaining accurate student records in the CANVAS LMS.
  • Participation in communications with the college and department.
  • Demonstrate effective teaching including preparation, meeting course goals, organization and presentation of material, student involvement, and classroom management.

Requirements:

  • An earned Master's degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and connect with young people.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • An earned Doctoral degree.
  • Two or more years of teaching experience at the college or senior secondary levels.
  • Three or more years of work experience in industry.
