Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with essential daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate.
- Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate documentation in patient records.
- Ensure patient living spaces are clean and organized.
- Support patients with mobility challenges, including the use of assistive devices.
- Accurately document all care provided and report any changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the healthcare team.
Qualifications:
- Current CNA certification is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
- Effective communication skills with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that require standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
- Demonstrated compassion and patience in caring for diverse patient populations.
- Experience in long-term care or acute care settings is preferred.
