Job Summary

Madden Industrial Craftsman is seeking a skilled Plastics Fabricator/Welder to join our team in a long-term day shift position. The successful candidate will work in a cleanroom environment, utilizing a variety of tools to bond and bend plastic components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and weld complex plastic parts to drawing specifications.
  • Identify and work with various plastics, including WPP, NPP, PVC, PE, Polycarbonate, CPVC, PVDF, FM4910, Acetal, Acrylics, PET, PEEK, UHMW, HDPE, PTFE, and PFA materials.
  • Operate equipment for pure bonding, socket fusion, and butt welding.
  • Work in a cleanroom setting, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Operate manual mills and lathes, as well as prepare cut sheets as needed.
  • Perform work at customer sites, if required.
  • Identify and correct problems, documenting data and providing solutions.
  • Train assigned workers in new tasks and techniques.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on plastics fabrication.
  • Ability to identify and work with various plastics, including those mentioned above.
  • Experience with hand and power tools, including hand scrapers, Exacto knives, utility knives, hand chisels, calipers, tape measures, deburring tools, counter sinks, welding guns, hand drills, hand routers, jointers, drill presses, table saws, and jig saw/saber saws.
  • Ability to stand at a workstation for designated shifts and lift/carry up to 35 pounds.
