IT Support Specialist

South College is seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch technical support to our remote and onsite users.
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, and related systems. You will also provide end-user support via remote assistance, in-person, and telephone. Additionally, you will be required to document incoming helpdesk requests using our internal ticketing system.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science or a related field, with 2+ years of overall IT experience. They will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a diverse technical and non-technical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and configuration of computing hardware and software
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting of technical issues
- End-user support via remote assistance and in-person
- Maintenance of hardware and software inventory
- Support for Microsoft and Apple products
