Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive psychiatric care to elderly and infirmed patients at a long term care facility in Woodbury, New Jersey.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will offer routine and consultative psychiatric services to residents, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. They will also evaluate new admissions with psychiatric diagnoses or on psychiatric medications, conduct evaluations for residents diagnosed with psychiatric conditions, Alzheimer's, or dementia, and provide grief counseling for residents and staff as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide routine and consultative psychiatric services to residents
  • Evaluate new admissions with psychiatric diagnoses or on psychiatric medications
  • Conduct evaluations for residents diagnosed with psychiatric conditions, Alzheimer's, or dementia
  • Provide grief counseling for residents and staff as needed
  • Work towards achieving the lowest effective medication dosage
Requirements:
  • Active NJ license
  • BC/BE
  • Experience in long term care facilities preferred
  • DEA
