Facility Information: UMMC Midtown Campus is a prominent 180-bed teaching hospital located in the heart of Baltimore, focusing on chronic disease management and providing high-quality medical and surgical care.
Role Responsibilities- The RN in the Neuro ICU adheres to established policies and protocols, ensuring effective resource utilization among staff. Responsibilities include performing core measures and meeting regulatory and quality standards.
- The Registered Nurse may serve as a charge nurse or preceptor, addressing unit-level issues in collaboration with management as necessary.
- Assist in conducting comprehensive assessments and reassessments, gathering data from diverse sources to aid in nursing diagnosis formulation.
- Develop a tailored Plan of Care based on patient assessments, setting mutual, realistic, and measurable goals, and documenting thoroughly in the patient's medical record.
- Coordinate and manage available resources and personnel to implement and adhere to the Plan of Care.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland or eligibility through Compact state agreements.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
- Valid CPR certification is mandatory.
- Completion of ACLS Provider training within one year of employment in designated departments.
