About the Position
Provider Solutions & Development is in search of a dedicated Hematology & Oncology physician to become an integral part of a distinguished team dedicated to serving a diverse patient population. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including delivering care for in-patient oncology and hematology consult services, as well as managing out-patient care sessions within the sub-specialty clinic. The physician will provide direct patient care and oversee the training of residents and fellows.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care to patients with hematology and oncology disorders.
- Support the care of patients throughout the healthcare network through direct care, consultations, and electronic consultations.
- Establish standards and ensure the provision of consistent, high-quality care.
- Educate and guide primary care physicians in managing hematology and oncology cases.
Qualifications
- Must possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Must hold a valid medical license in the State of Illinois or be eligible to obtain one prior to employment.
- Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology or Board Eligible in a pathway leading to certification.
- Possess a valid Illinois Controlled Substances License or the ability to obtain one before starting employment.
- Hold a valid license with the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration or the ability to secure one prior to commencing employment.
- Demonstrated experience in providing compassionate and effective patient care.
- Ability to instruct colleagues and trainees in both formal and informal settings.
- Proven capability to work effectively in diverse clinical environments and with a wide range of patients and healthcare professionals.
