Job Summary

We are looking for a Registered Nurse with administrative experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform care as defined by client's individual Plan of Care and within scope of state's nurse practice act
  • Observe patient's condition and notify appropriate personnel of any changes
  • Provide those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill required by Non Medical Home care policy
  • Assure proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws
  • Counsel the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs
Requirements
  • Current and unrestricted RN license in the state of Connecticut
  • Registered nurse with current unencumbered licensure to practice professional nursing in the state of Connecticut
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Minimum five (5) years of clinical experience with at least half of that time working in home health or related health care organization
  • Minimum three to five years of direct employee supervision
  • Multi tasking, Computer skills and Fast typing skills are plus for this position
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct staff
  • Possess exceptional nursing assessment skills
  • Comply with accepted professional standards of practice
  • Proven ability to build quality and implement improvements within the operation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Analytic/Critical thinker
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal tactfully with clients, staff and community
  • Treat clients, staff and the public with courtesy, respect and presents a positive public image
  • Case management skills are a plus
  • Policy development is a plus
  • Ability to travel on a daily basis including weekends, nights and holidays
  • Understands regulatory compliance
  • State requirement for the franchise location
  • Federal regulations including but not limited to OSHA, HIPAA
  • Available after hours and weekends as needed basis
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the US
  • Reliable car / auto insurance
  • Clean background and criminal record
