We are seeking a skilled MRI Technician to join our team at MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting MRI scans, ensuring the safety and quality of the equipment, and providing excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI exams, preparing for and assessing the technical quality of MRI images.
- Implement and oversee procedures to maximize the MRI scanner's use.
- Handle informed consent documentation as necessary.
- Conduct IV insertions with sterile technique and administer contrast media under physician guidance.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the MRI scanner and related equipment, adhering to infection control standards.
- Participate in on-call duties, ensuring availability within 20 minutes if called upon.
- May need to work additional hours or on scheduled days off for part-time positions.
- Follow MRI safety and quality assurance guidelines.
- Efficiently use PACS, RIS, and EMR systems, completing all examination paperwork.
- Meet all continuing education and certification requirements, including Basic Life Support (CPR).
- Engage in Quality Improvement Programs and other duties as assigned.
Standards of Behavior:
- Adhere to high standards of professional conduct and the Code of Conduct at all times.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Graduation from an ARRT-approved Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT registration in MRI within one year of starting in the MRI role.
Preferred:
- Prior MRI experience.
- Valid ARRT registration or obtained within one year of employment.
- Proficiency in computer use, keyboarding skills, and email communication.
