Job Overview

Petaluma Market is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Produce Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality products are available to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stock and rotate merchandise in the produce and floral department to ensure freshness and availability.
  • Trim, water, and merchandise products to maintain a visually appealing display.
  • Conduct inventory control to maximize product freshness and availability.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and making recommendations on produce and floral products.
  • Participate in food sampling and promotions to increase sales.
Requirements
  • Reliable and honest with a strong sense of integrity and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication skills, with bilingual abilities in English/Spanish a plus.
  • Ability to read and write at the 8th grade level.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Physical ability to perform routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Starting wage: $20/hour (negotiable for experienced candidates).
