We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager to join our team at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul South Pinellas Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the physical integrity of our office buildings, anticipating and correcting maintenance issues, and implementing procedures for preventative maintenance and repairs.
Key Responsibilities- Perform structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, concrete, and furnishings of buildings.
- Maintain and repair buildings' plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts.
- Replace worn or damaged parts, such as hoses, wiring, equipment, and systems.
- Paint interior and exterior walls and trim.
- Inspect areas of property for dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing carpets, waste pick up and removal, and washing windows.
- Manage streamlined process for handling employee and resident service requests and respond/correct requests within 24 hours when possible.
- Maintain current MSDS sheets and use thorough knowledge of current laws and EPA and OSHA regulations to ensure proper storage and management of hazardous materials.
- Document and maintain current and accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, service requests, expenditures, resident room make-ready, work-in-progress, etc.
- Accompany all vendors and Directors during visits and inspections.
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, building, and life safety guidelines and state regulations for Alzheimer's assisted living residences.
- Oversee the fire drill process.
- Report all damages and safety concerns to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
- Able to speak, write, and understand English.
- Possess basic computer skills.
- Must be sensitive to and respect cultural diversity among clients, staff, and volunteers and able to work with diverse racial, ethnic, and economic groups.
- Flexible work schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to set appropriate limits, work under deadlines, and multi-task.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, self-motivate, and deliver results.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Possess strong work ethics.
- Successfully pass Level II criminal background screening.
- Subject to random drug screenings.
- Must possess valid Florida driver's license with 3 years of good driving history.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Participate in Agency Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) program and Accreditation/Reaccreditation process.

- This position requires a high school diploma or GED certificate.
- At least 3 years of experience in one or more of the skilled labor trades.
- Requires a minimum of two (2) years general experience in building trades, plumbing (interior and exterior required), repair and replacement maintenance or handy work.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to use email.
- Ability to submit receipts for CC purchases to Finance.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize.
- Must have a valid driver's license with 3 years of good driving history.
