Banquet Captain

The Banquet Captain will support the Banquet Manager in delivering exceptional service to guests and oversee banquet staff for all scheduled events. This role ensures that all guests receive attentive, courteous, and expedient service in a clean and pleasant atmosphere.

• Assume Manager on Duty (MOD) responsibilities in the absence of the Banquet Manager
• Manage the room set up and break down/re-set
• Act as point of contact throughout the event, assuring the event runs smoothly
• Maintain complete knowledge of service requirements for assigned function
• Complete closing side duties

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two or more years of experience in large scale event management
• Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
• Great customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills and an eye for detail
• Ability to multi-task numerous groups/events at one time
• Able to work productively with little supervision

Varying schedule to include weekends, evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates
