The RN Supervisor is responsible for directing and overseeing nursing personnel under the guidance of department managers during their absence. You will promote and maintain continuity of care for patients and will be accountable for planning, implementing, and evaluating all care during your assigned shifts. This role requires adherence to the policies and procedures of both the department and the organization, supporting the mission, vision, and philosophy of Chi.

Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Supervising a team of nurses, ensuring they have the necessary resources to deliver optimal patient care.
- Engaging actively on the floor by communicating with nurses, patients, and their families to maintain a smooth operational flow.
- Participating in leadership meetings to stay informed about new initiatives, budgetary considerations, and areas for enhancement, and relaying this information back to your nursing team.
- Monitoring attendance among nursing staff to identify any patterns of absenteeism that may require intervention.
- Evaluating the productivity and efficiency of your department, including financial oversight, to ensure we achieve maximum throughput without compromising care quality.
- Mentoring team members, sharing your knowledge and confidence with assistant nurse managers, charge nurses, and others, fostering their development into potential nurse supervisors.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Valid Registered Nurse License from the state or a compact license permitting practice in the state.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an ER RN and one (1) year in a leadership role, or a Master's Degree with no prior experience.
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC).
- Proven leadership abilities.
- Familiarity with coaching and mentoring best practices.
- Previous supervisory experience in a Critical Access Hospital.
