Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Anesthesia Assistant to join our esteemed team of Anesthesiologists and Certified Anesthesia Assistants. Our department provides both inpatient and outpatient anesthesia services for a large variety of surgical specialties. The successful candidate will perform basic roles and functions of an Anesthetist under the supervision of an Anesthesiologist, as well as limited actions in life-threatening emergency conditions.
Responsibilities:
Administer anesthesia under the medical direction of a qualified Anesthesiologist, adjusting anesthetic levels on a minute-to-minute basis. These services may include perioperative patient evaluations, as well as delegated teaching and research functions. The successful candidate may also perform initial acute cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in life-threatening situations as directed by a physician or protocol until the supervising Anesthesiologist arrives.
Work Schedule:
No call, no weekends, a great work-life balance. The work schedule is 10 or 13 hour shifts, three to four days per week.
Requirements:
Completion of an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant training program or Certification. Board Certification Eligible by the NCCAA (National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants). Registered with the State Medical Board of Ohio. Active BLS Certification.
