Digital Engineering Lead Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Engineering Lead to join our team at PeopleTec, Inc. in Huntsville, AL. As a Digital Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of digital projects, ensuring they align with our strategic goals and deliver exceptional value to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the digital engineering team, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of digital projects, from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement best practices, standards, and processes for digital engineering.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on our digital strategy and recommending innovative solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, scalability, and performance of our digital platforms and applications.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial constraints.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes creativity, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather, prioritize, and analyze requirements for new DoD T&E capabilities.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in digital engineering or software development, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), microservices architecture, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Proven experience in managing and delivering complex digital projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive innovative solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Hands-on experience with digital engineering tools, environments, and/or languages (e.g., MagicDraw, CEA, Cameo Teamwork Cloud, SysML, UPDM 2).
