As an ICU RN, you will provide direct care to patients in life-threatening situations, evaluating and monitoring their conditions, documenting and implementing physician-directed care plans, and delegating tasks to other care providers as needed.
Responsibilities:- Evaluate and monitor patients in an Intensive Care Unit setting
- Provide basic bedside care, preparing and administering prescribed medication, and reporting any adverse reactions
- Order and evaluate diagnostic tests, taking samples for lab work and interpreting reports
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment, interpreting electronic displays, and ensuring proper placement and functioning of catheters, leads, and tubing
