The role of a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at assisting clients with their daily living activities in the comfort of their own homes. All team members are expected to embrace the core values and mission of Angels In Your Home, fostering an environment that promotes independence and personal growth for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Attend to the non-medical needs of clients as outlined in their Service Plan/Care Plan, which may include personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, and skincare.
- Assist clients with mobility, including getting in and out of bed and using mobility aids such as walkers and wheelchairs.
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as necessary.
- Provide reminders for medication and encourage adherence to prescribed exercise routines as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a presence in the client's vicinity throughout the shift, responding promptly to any emergencies or unusual occurrences.
- Utilize the HHA Exchange system for accurate time management during work hours.
- Document all services provided in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Monitor and report any changes in the client's condition, behavior, or appearance to the supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.
- Offer companionship and homemaking services as needed.
- Participate in quality assurance evaluations to uphold the standards of Angels In Your Home.
- Stay informed about advancements in technology and software relevant to the role.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures to maintain a high standard of care.
