Orthodontic Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our team at Dental Care Alliance. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support our dentists in delivering high-quality treatment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following established protocols and procedures.
• Prepare patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, and positioning them for care.
• Provide information to patients and staff by answering questions and requests.
• Deliver instruments and materials to treatment areas, and assist with suctioning and other tasks as needed.
• Expose and develop radiographic studies, pour and trim study casts, and fabricate temporary restorations.
• Maintain patient appearance and ability to masticate by cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
• Help manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and emergency supplies.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
• Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
• Stay up-to-date with professional knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

• 1 year of experience working as a Dental Assistant or Orthodontic Assistant.
