About the Role

Hire Thinking is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in all maintenance activities and duties, including observing and listening to mechanical devices to identify and locate issues.
  • Help dismantle devices, inspect used parts, and determine necessary adjustments or replacements.
  • Support the repair, adjustment, and installation of functional and structural parts in equipment.
  • Lubricate, clean, and perform preventative maintenance tasks on parts and devices.
  • Manage inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment, ensuring they are maintained and organized.
  • Complete accurate and timely paperwork and keep the shop area clean and organized.
Requirements
  • High school diploma and six or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be trained and certified to operate a forklift and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Strong language skills, including the ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals, as well as to write routine reports and speak effectively before groups.
  • Proficiency in basic math, including calculations with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and the ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
