Position Title: Bariatric Nutrition Specialist

Position Overview: As a Bariatric Nutrition Specialist, you will have the essential responsibility of guiding patients with various dietary requirements, particularly those related to bariatric and metabolic health. Your role will be pivotal in engaging patients, their families, and significant others in the educational and care processes.

  • Develop and implement nutrition education initiatives for outpatients participating in a medical and surgical weight management program.
  • Serve as a bridge between consulting physicians and healthcare staff to provide education tailored to patients' unique nutritional needs.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to assess patient care requirements and contribute to the planning, execution, and evaluation of holistic care strategies.
  • Facilitate patient education workshops, address inquiries, and offer support to hospital personnel in educational and patient engagement activities.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to promote nutritional awareness.

Qualifications:

Registered and licensed dietitian
