We are currently looking for a Production Technician to become part of our team at our production facility in Jackson, Minnesota. Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in harvesting tasks including preparation, seed sampling, and unloading of trucks.
  • Execute a range of duties related to plant, field, and warehouse operations that vary seasonally.
  • Monitor automated machinery for processes such as harvesting, conditioning, treating, and packaging.
  • Participate in production activities including seed conditioning, treating, and packaging.
  • Conduct product return and sorting operations.
  • Perform field tasks such as scouting, inspections, and logistics management.
  • Utilize automation and computerized systems for task execution (including computers and tablets).
  • Carry out warehouse functions such as forklift operation, sample collection, pooling, and additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education:
  • High School Diploma/GED is required, or the willingness to obtain a GED within twelve months of employment.
Essential Skills:
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing, standing, and lifting up to fifty pounds, in various environmental conditions.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to multiple operational areas (field, plant, warehouse).
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Comfort with technology and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a readiness to learn additional company-specific software.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Possession of a valid US Driver's License.
  • Understanding of the importance of timely delivery to customers and willingness to work overtime, including weekends during peak production periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in Agriculture, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • One year of experience in operations, manufacturing, agriculture, or a related sector.
  • Familiarity with LEAN Manufacturing principles such as 5S and Continuous Improvement.
  • General knowledge of agricultural equipment (e.g., tractors, forklifts).
Work Authorization:
  • This position does not provide relocation benefits.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
