Position Overview:
This role is ideal for those eager to make a meaningful difference in a community with limited healthcare resources. Bilingual candidates in Spanish are encouraged to apply, though it is not a requirement.
The Nurse Practitioner will conduct patient interviews and develop thorough medical histories. Responsibilities include educating patients about their diagnoses and treatment plans, guiding them on health maintenance and preventive care, and ensuring continuity of care. The practitioner will also perform or order necessary diagnostic tests and interpret the results.Maintaining accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient interactions is essential.
This includes recording medical issues, medication histories, allergies, lab orders, and patient education.
Candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible, possess a valid California license or be eligible for one, and meet the hospital's medical staff requirements.Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Preferred Bachelor's Degree
Licenses/Certifications Required:
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in the state of practice
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Or Physician Assistant (PA) licensure in the state of practice
Salary:
Competitive wage scale starting at $126,080, commensurate with experience.

- Continuing Education Unit (CEU) allowance with 5 paid days for full-time employment
Additional benefits include coverage for licenses, DEA, board certifications, and association fees, along with a student loan assistance program that spans five years. Malpractice insurance is provided through Adventist Health, along with comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
Paid Time Off (PTO) is accrued based on hours worked and years of service.
